FEED-IN TARIFF (FiT) PROGRAMME
The Feed-in Tariff (FiT) Programme is designed to encourage installation of Renewable Energy systems to kick-start the green revolution. It was implemented by the Sustainable Energy Development Authority of Malaysia (SEDA) in 2011. SEDA is a statutory agency set up under the Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water, to serve as a one-stop Renewable Energy Centre.
The programme was introduced into Sabah in 2014, where electricity produced from Solar by individuals & non-individuals can be sold to TNB/SESB. Now thanks to the Malaysian Government, you get paid simply by participating in the FiT Programme.
